So in order to make yourself happy and isnt that why we quilt? Then out comes old faithful, the ripper, and we unsew. The error will take away from the quilt no matter how hard you try to hide it or talk yourself out of fixing it, so instead of wasting time or continuing on, rip it out and do it right. After all if you are going to do something, might as well do it right, right? Good for you for correcting your error. I wish I could be neater, but I guess it's not in my nature. I'm grateful no one looks at the backs of my work. I could never enter a traditional quilt show! Love your work, by the way, especially the ice piece in Seasonal Palette.Janet Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07030579623161160346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-588118538433483895.post-72548792018229717102014-08-15T15:52:02.129-04:002014-08-15T15:52:02.129-04:00Janet -- I agree that what's on the back shoul...Janet -- I agree that what's on the back shouldn't matter. But I must disagree that a pleat in the backing of a wall piece is sloppy craft. The back of any art piece does not matter unless it will be visible when being displayed. It's what's up front that counts. That's where fine craftsmanship should prevail.
