I have plenty of books and fabric to keep me busy along with old movies to watch on You tube! We will be fine as retired persons! Definitely limit news intake!QuiltGranmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09225951118220180796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-588118538433483895.post-85208664338625101542020-03-23T23:19:32.112-04:002020-03-23T23:19:32.112-04:00I had a partial Phase 3 day today. I was processing some chard from the monumental stand of it in the garden, in preparation for freezing it, and DH was once again reading me each news item he encountered on his iPad. I snapped, broke and cried. I have been limiting my news intake and I do not watch the daily WH press conferences. I want to hug my kids but they are terrified to come near me, and my eldest close relative age 95 is now in hospice and I cannot visit her. I considered resuming my own blog, but you are saying all I feel. Thanks, and carry on. My freezer is small but working. I ran out of tomatoes, though...Sigh...
Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07064704260223262652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-588118538433483895.post-10193133762601484802020-03-23T16:26:04.062-04:002020-03-23T16:26:04.062-04:00Ditto to what you said. Glad that he can be here, outside of Manhattan, NYC, but...glad that we have an old farm house with multiple rooms. Lack of leadership makes this worse. I steer clear of FB posts and some Blog posts that talk about the virus, the mask making, non existent wonderful president.

Sorry, I don't remember how new your freezer actually IS, but I would be calling the manager of the place you bought it and ask for a new unit. Something is wrong in the mechanics of this one and it will probably stalk you all the live long days. I had a Whirlpool dishwasher like that. After contacting Whirlpool a VP there sent a new unit. After two service calls the issue is beyond the serviceman. Get tough.
xx, Carol Carol- Beads and Birdshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11062821517519300477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-588118538433483895.post-85363730493814536242020-03-23T09:18:40.727-04:002020-03-23T09:18:40.727-04:00Did you ever imagine you would have a pandemic lab...Did you ever imagine you would have a pandemic label on your blog posts? I can't help but think of the old Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times." We are living in a time that will be forever interesting - to those of us living through it and those who will live through it vicariously in the future as they read history and fiction, or see movies and plays about the good, the bad, and the ugly responses to a pandemic. We love to live in interesting times in our fantasies, imagining the thrill of helping others in wartime or creating underground movements to thwart the enemy. Actually living through a crisis is a different story, especially when the heroic action is - inaction.Vickie Wheatleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03532115379430375034noreply@blogger.com
