The table top is made from a tree my brother, sister, and I used to climb -- making it all that more special. That tree died a slow death, but Dad saved the best parts of the trunk for other uses. The table measures 3' x 6', has a lower shelf, and a drop-down platform on the side to accommodate long pieces of fabric, especially handy during my garment sewing days. He built this table so it could be taken apart for moving and then reassembled in its new space. It's my most cherished gift from Dad.
