I have discovered as I have become more mature, shall we say, I have to sew with my shoe off, I am realizing that I have more and more peculiarities. And I had thought I was pretty normal. On occasion, I've had to adjust my foot position on the pedal so I rock my foot more, not press with my toes. As for the presser foot lifter, I've seen tips to cover it with a pool noodle so it's softer. No clue why it was bothering you one day, not the next - maybe something totally unrelated on your mind the day it was annoying?JustGailhttp://justgail.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-588118538433483895.post-67911640155513449752016-05-10T15:39:36.484-04:002016-05-10T15:39:36.484-04:00We are all a bit mad when it comes to our sewing a...We are all a bit mad when it comes to our sewing aren't we? I am cutting 13 little windows and 1 door out of buildings that are around 1" wide by 1 1/2" tall. There are 16 of them. I have 5 left, which I think I might manage while we watch a cooking show.<br />SandySandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04978514536651961190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-588118538433483895.post-63620421164454722212016-05-10T15:32:18.030-04:002016-05-10T15:32:18.030-04:00The repetitive strain in my right leg severely lim...The repetitive strain in my right leg severely limited my sewing time until I bought a machine with a push button stop/start. (I needed a new machine, so this was an unexpected plus) I've never looked back and can spend hours on the machine again. And if I do too much hand stitching, my carpel tunnel plays up ( though wearing a splint glove helps). how we suffer for our art! it's looking good though. magsramsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16559934058887308651noreply@blogger.com
