If you ever attended the AQS Quilt Show in Paducah you will remember the Executive Inn, that vast seedy dump of a hotel that for many years served as the quilt show venue, and even after most of the show moved to a new convention center a few years ago, held many vendors. 

Here's what it looks like now -- visualize this pile of rubble going on for two city blocks.  No tears from me.
