One day I was stitching on a little picture and when I finished, it looked kind of small and wimpy. So without really thinking twice, I stitched a label.
I liked the way it looked, so a couple of days later I did another.
Long-time readers of this blog know that I'm a terrible snob about type and lettering, so maybe you wonder how I could do these rickety letters in good conscience. I guess it's for the same reason that I like my crude drawings: the medium of thread gives me permission to be casual. And I'm quite enjoying the ambience of the rickety alphabet.
