    Lots of name plates in KY. Do you think it's so they remember which car is theirs?

      Mississippi and Indiana, to mention two states where I've been recently, also have license plate formats with three letters in a row, so their cars have names, too. I haven't made a scientific survey of other states but that could certainly occupy some kid on a long car trip.
